Where is magisters terrace entrance

For at this point there is no aggro, Kael just spams the gravity effect. This is the only instance to contain a cut scene while playing the game. Most other cut scenes in-game happen when you first create a new character or for a few specific quests. A standardized abbreviation for the instance has yet to be decided upon.

But MGT works too. It is also worth noting that this dungeon is kind of like a "best of" The Burning Crusade. The bosses each take something from one core aspect of Burning Crusade, but tune it down or keep it at a similar difficulty.

The second boss, Vexallus, is similar to The Curator , a boss from the man, Karazhan. The 3rd boss, is similar to Moroes , or even more so due to the difficulty to tank it a 5v5 Arena. And the final boss Kael'thas, is similar to a fight from a man raid. Thus this dungeon takes the core aspects of 5-man dungeons, man dungeons, PvP, and man endgame, and tunes it down to a 5-man encounter.

Magisters' Terrace Halls Vexallus. Grand Magister's Asylum Kael'thas Sunstrider. Sunblade Blood Knight. Hits decently hard. Heals with Holy Light 16k heal. Uses a stealable seal Seal of Wrath that adds large amounts of holy damage to each melee and spells.

Can be mind controlled, sheeped, seduced or trapped. Sunblade Mage Guard. Can be mind controlled, sheeped, seduced, or trapped. Sunblade Magister. Uses Arcane Nova and Frostbolt. Immune to Mind Control and Seduce. Can be sheeped. Sunblade Warlock. Repeatedly casts Incinerate fire damage, fire damage if the target is afflicted with Immolate and occasionally casts Immolate. Has a stealable fel armor buff that provides spell damage.

Comes with an easily killed Imp pet. The third boss is akin to the Moroes fight in Karazhan. Just like moroes Delrissa has four adds, selected at random from a pool of eight. Spellstealing or dispelling her buffs is also of a high priority. Renew : Due to this all dps should be on Delrissa immediately. It seems to tick for upwards of 3k. PW:S : Dispell this or dps through it, as per the priest ability. Dispel Magic : Due to this dispelling polymorph and other similar abilities, CC on this fight is not as good as it seems to be.

Be prepared for many CC breaks and unforunaties when she uses this. The only counter is really killing her first. You have to if you plan on polymorphing!

SW:P : When a warlock gets this on him he should use his Shadow ward. Anyone else should get a dispel or heal. Flash Heal : This should be interrupted by any means neccesary to be able to kill her.

That counts for the other adds as well. Threat dumps may or may not work depending on mob behavior. Apoko is a Shaman. He has medium health and armor for a boss add.

Apoko is definately the most annoying add, because of his ability to heal, and to lockdown spellcasters and healers, while purging off helpful buffs. He does the following:. Cast Healing wave : This is a large heal.

Ah yes, this add tends to be the add that most frequently wipes groups. He can wipe groups on his own, literally. He does:. Mortal Strike : Does huge amounts of damage. Intimidating shout : Increases his damage even more Rushing charge : Makes mages hate him because he can pop out of polymorph and kill the hapless mage.

AE fear ; Salaris can use the standard AE warrior fear this has been known to run groups into mob packs and wipe them. An unlucky resist also results in a death.

He runs quite fast so fearing is not very smart either. You can set up a rotation like this:. Salaris has the highest health and armor of all the adds. Kagani will hit fast and kick , going for spellcasters and will take one of your spellcasters out while you fight him. He will kick then chain-stun this spellcaster. Kagani has a moderately high damage output so be sure to heal his damage through.

Kagani has two stuns, and can keep a player stunned for approx. Kagani has average health and armor. Eramas Brightblaze is a fury warrior. Eramas has high health and medium armor. Use fear if you can, anything to keep those four out of the fight while you pummel delrissa. The reason being that garaxxas tends to stun people. When garaxxas is loose, he will sometimes put down traps.

A quick dispel of it would help tremendously. Kiting apoko or the priestess to a trapped player helps as well, because the random damage will break the trap. Blessing of Sacrifice can do this as well little use for salvation here anyway. Garaxxas has low health and medium armor, and so does silver. Before the group starts dpsing the priestess, if you see ellrys, oneshot his imp.

The priestess can do nothing to prevent it from dying, and it saves your healer another fire damage to heal every couple seconds. Ellrys is second on the minor add list.

Shadow Bolt ; does a moderate amount of shadow damage, can be healed through. And last but not least a Seed of Corruption. Ellrys can be damaging, but at least you can counter everything he does with relative ease.

Low to medium hp and low armor. Zelfan is more of a funny thingy than a real add. Move away from the dragon gun , and have someone focus on targetting macro! He does not do any significantly hampering effects aside from the damage.

It can be reduced by not standing in a bunch but spreading out. Uses exploding animals, grenades , a cone-fire attack, and a fire-bomb with DoT. Pure damage, and not very much of it when the positioning is okay. Zelfan has low hp and medium armor. However, Yazzai is played poorly. Yazzai, just like ellrys has a minor melee. That makes him the eigth on the list. It does less damage than the shadowbolts, but slows you a bit.

It has a long cd, and because yazzai is usually at range, the most it will do is FN a person that has already been feared by another add, actually helping your group more than it hampers you. Very low hp, low armor. Kagani Nightstrike The rest, one by one if you can.

You only need to do one trash pull, but this time, you seem to have little space to do it. This trash pull goes like this:. Everyone stands on the stairs, if you have a trapping hunter, make sure he can see his trapped mob.

It might cause one or two wipes, it tends to be the most difficult part of the instance this trash pull. To start, position your healer on top of the stairs so he can see everything , your tank where kael is, and your ranged dps to the left and right of the healer, but better downstairs, so they can kite a phoenix away.

Summon phoenix : Seems to start at a random time after engaging him and has a sec cd. When they die, the egg they spawn must also be killed or it starts all over. Needless to say, you move.

The second way of avoiding it is to do A warrior with more than A paladin can do it with a bubble. Sunblade Sentinels yield 24 reputation. The Wretched Bruisers , Husks and Skulkers yield 9 reputation. The first three bosses yield reputation until revered 0 after revered , while Kael'thas yields reputation until revered after revered. Brightscale Wyrms yield 1 reputation until revered 0 after revered.

A full clear will yield exactly reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive. Most elite trash yield 15 reputation. Sunblade Sentinels yield 30 reputation. The Wretched Bruisers , Husks and Skulkers yield All the bosses yield reputation each.

Brightscale Wyrms yield 2 reputation. Most of the boss fights are the same as in normal mode. The Kael'thas fight is a little different in that he casts a Pyroblast one minute into the fight won't cast it if he enters gravity lapse mode before that.

During the cast time he puts up a shield Shock Barrier, absorbs 10K damage which makes him immune to all interrupts. Once the shield is down, normal spell interrupts counterspell, shield bash, kick etc. If the Pyroblast is not interrupted it will deal upwards of 40, damage to the tank. Pally tanks can bubble out of the first pyroblast, and it is suggested that if dps isn't able to burn through the Shock Barrier that a warrior tank pop shield wall and last stand, it is possible that this might enable him to live through 1 pyroblast but should a 2nd come he has no recourse.

If you fail to stop the Pyroblast and your tank goes down, you can still easily finish. For at this point there is no aggro, Kael just spams the gravity effect. For those solo farming Shattered Sun reputation or for the mount or pet drops, Magisters' Terrace is fairly easy at level 85, but not a total walk in the park. Carelessness can result in dying to the mob groups after Vexallus , as they have an assortment of close-in and ranged abilities that can prove dangerous if not accounted for properly, depending on one's class.

As for the bosses, Selin Fireheart and Vexallus are rather easy DPS races at this level, as is Kael'thas Sunstrider though unless one has exceptional DPS, he will cast his gravity lapse, which is little more than an annoyance.

The Priestess Delrissa encounter, however, does require a little planning, as the assortment of stuns available to her group depending on which ones are present can make this encounter a challenge for cloth-wearing characters if one is not careful. As for gold farming, the mobs usually drop between 50 silver and one gold each, though sometimes considerably less.

With the gold from selling the drops off the bosses and mobs, one can usually realize between gold for a full heroic run, minus repair costs.
