Energy-efficiency and sustainability are important to us. Our young people receive training in environmentally-friendly construction projects and educational support. When you "donate your birthday" by fundraising for Youth Member Activities. This program is particularly helpful to parks that lack adequate facilities to support longer summer programs.
On Sunday the young people take part in outdoor activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing and interpretive hikes. This program requires an invitation from the executive director and collaboration with a partner organization.

Youth Conservation Corps YCC was established on August 13, through Public Law to introduce conservation and preservation to youth in public lands. The YCC summer programs are generally 8 to 10 weeks long depending on which agency you are working with. Members are paid the established Federal minimum wage.
However, in states with a minimum wage higher than the Federal wage the higher rate will be paid. As a YCC member you will work on a variety of projects that help protect, preserve, and restore the natural, cultural, and historic resources of the agency in which you work for.
Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 18 years and be a citizen of the United States. Both males and females from all social, economic, ethnic, and racial classifications are eligible to join.
